Writing about taboo subjects is a challenging task for any writer. Doing this well - and without causing outrage - is an artform. This session will explore the concept and function of taboo in society. We'll look at the power of writers to shine a light on even the darkest topic, and provide tips and tools for writing about what society deems as taboo subjects with insight and sensitivity. Please note that this workshop may not be suitable for everyone - while the focus will be on the craft of writing, some people may not be comfortable with some of the topics.
