Our native plants have evolved to be perfectly adapted to WA's harsh conditions. Low rainfall, strong sun and wind make for a tough environment to live in, however our plants have managed for hundreds of thousands of years. Native water-wise gardens are low maintenance. They provide sanctuary, habitat and food for native birds, insects and reptiles, increase soil fertility and canopy cover and urban cooling - all on little or no water. Join permaculturalist Fiona to hear more about their importance and about designing a native garden for year-round beauty.
