Professor Alan Harvey is a neurophysiologist with a life-long interest in music. Author of the book Music, Evolution and the Harmony of Souls, he will discuss why music exists as a human universal alongside language, describe the impact of music on the brain, and reveal how music participation can influence social well-being and healthy ageing.
